WHAT TO EXPECT

The Teaching Artist Summer Lab is a highly immersive and rigorous experience. Most days will consist of teaching both privately and in-group settings. Some days you may also be expected to conduct masterclasses or presentations on specific pedagogical topics. Evenings may include chamber rehearsals with the other fellows in preparation for a Fellows chamber concert at the end of the workshop. There may also be an orchestral concert in the middle of the workshop during which MusAid Fellows will play alongside the orchestra. At every turn, there will be opportunities to work closely with your colleagues to design and implement creative curriculum, special projects, impromptu performances and more.

Each session begins with a two day training component where you will work directly with our faculty members on teaching techniques and artistry.
